Am led to believe Aurigny will be Wednesday and Saturday operation next year.

For easyJet, it will be three routes including BFS. Not a base, before anyone gets over excited. The speculation on that front does involve an airport at the top of a hill, but it’s not LBA.
EZY already operate 3 routes from LBA. Are you suggesting 2 new routes?

2 new Summer routes for S25. Seems a sensible growth plan. Here's hoping at least one is a German route.
If that's the case, and loads are good, then we can hopefully expect more in 2026. Let's hope the 3 routes are not just a couple per week but something with greater frequency - which of course would probably mean bucket and spade stuff. Other destinations would be nice to have but for now, it's more important that what they do, sells really well, enticing them to do more, and hopefully a base further down the line.

Yes, they were. Now they're wading into both TUi and easyJet home territory looking fir a fight. Let battie commence?
OK

One is 2 x weekly, the other 4 x weekly. My gut feeling is that this is unlikely to be a route into Germany as they only have a base at Berlin nowadays. Hamburg was previously a base but closed.
Amsterdam would be good.

If that’s the case my money is on Alicante 2x weekly & Palma 4x weekly for summer 2025.

But I hear that possible base is on the cards too, so watch this space.

They operate three in winter. There will be three next summer of which one is Belfast. Have to wait and see on the others.
My guess would be that the twice weekly route will be the extension of Paris CDG into a year round route, Fridays and Mondays. Probably wrong, but there again, most guesses are. More likely it'll be something akin to that suggested by lbaspotter above.

No doubt a Luton base is a pre-emptive strike against EZY before their relatively new package holiday business has a real chance to grow. LS clearly see them as a threat to their dominance so are taking the fight directly to them. Competition will be good for customers though.

Jet2 going into Luton is an opportunity created by new slots being declared - one new slot in each of the first morning departure hours and an increase in the annual passenger air transport movement cap. They look to have seen a one-time window opening and have moved swiftly to secure it.

The easyJet LBA growth for next summer would have been proposed before they could have known about it.

It is also unlikely that easyJet will have any aircraft for new bases given the ITA remedy slot release in Italy which will be taking up their available capacity there.

My route guesses are 4x CDG and 2x BCN but those are purely guesses.

That would be disappointing.

If you were hoping for lots more and based aircraft, I don't think that was ever on the cards. At least not for S25.

A 'new' contract? Did they have one previously?
I'd be very surprised if LM didn't have a contract before at LBA given the amount of charter flying (not all of which was through Multiflight) and use of LBA as a diversion alternate for MAN and NCL, given you could never rely on MME to be open when you needed it! I'm sure they will have had a contract before - but what is in that contract could, of course, be a completely different thing!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
