Too much teasing going on here. Im not sure my heart can take the pressure of awaiting unknown announcements about unknown airlines on unknown days, even if the month of said unknown announcements is known.

TUI announces Summer 2027 on October 16th but I wonder if a new base could be announced at a later date ie November and their livery is blue!

Not helping my ticker Jerry!!!

For a horrible moment then I remembered Eastern wear blue and they'd been recruiting for an LBA base, and just suppose that recruitment wasn't for the KLM ops but for something else? But then I remembered most of their fleet aren't blue. They're just plain white. So that's OK then!

So now, I'm frantically thinking of every airline that has a blue livery that might conceivably open a base at LBA. The list is rather short......and there are too many shades of blue! Should I consider navy blue, dark blue, mid blue, or light blue? Jets or turbo props?

So many questions. No answers!!!!

Well if TUI are the blue airline that will really p..s off out friends down the road who are convinced they are opening a base there on the reopening of their non profitable airport for passenger flights in 2027.

Pie in the sky, but ITA and Air Transat have blue liveries. Imagine YYZ direct, we can only hope Tui go on sale 16th for 2027, so perhaps it’s them, but it would be nice for Lufthansa. Something new, Easyjet? Exciting, we need some new carriers to lift autumn spirits

Well a few are - a point I've already made. But these days they seem short on blue paint and nearly all their Embraers are just white. Still, if they've lost the KLM contract and they've got these additional aircraft, it does make you wonder what they are going to do with them, particularly given that they advertised for LBA crews only last year.

Get rid of the crew most likely because a couple of friends of mine are sitting around doing nothing. Don’t believe Eastern will be looking at putting them to work on scheduled flights from the uk so you can safely rule them out from the sweepstakes.
