Yes it’s for LBA (I wouldn’t have posted it otherwise), as far as I know it’s slots that have been applied for for S26, although this is not 100% accurate for what will be served it is a decent enough indicator

If you divide the movements by seats you can work out the aircraft types…

BGO 148 seats
SOU 70 seats
VLC, SOF 197 seats
All the others 189 seats

Overall the initial coordination report is indicating an uplift of 1053432 seats, which if this materialised would be as @Starflyer indicated “significant”. Probably equivalent to 3 extra based aircraft (assumed based on uplift).

You can but you need a very thick layer of underpants on at the time and not my thin silky Ted Baker grundies.

My first time looking at these reports ever so please correct me if I am wrong, but could this be the Ryanair expansion (or at least some Ryanair and some other airlines) that we’ve been hoping for? Many of these routes have been on a lot of wishlist so I hope it is all true.

Some very strange routes as well.

So in terms of weekly slots (one-way) taken from a week in August:

Aurigny: 2X Weekly
Blue Islands: 12X Weekly
easyJet Europe: 10X Weekly
easyJet UK: 2X Weekly
Emerald Airlines: 55X Weekly
Jet2: 216X Weekly
KLM: 21X Weekly
Ryanair: 205X Weekly
SunExpress: 5X Weekly
TUI: 5X Weekly
Wizz Air: 10X Weekly

This could potentially indicate an increase of 84X weekly flights by Ryanair on what is currently on sale alone, which is an average of 12 flights per day, which potentially looks like several extra based aircraft, even accounting for additional non-based flying. I'm not holding my breath, but after what @Starflyer has said, I am certainly hopeful!

Also, by the looks of the weekly slot allocation, the slots seem to be block-booked for the whole summer. I imagine somebody on here may be able to read deeper into that (note: not referencing anyone in particular)

Looks like it’s nailed on that there is 12 to knock off. Very worrying for UK aviation, and very sad for those working for the airline

Absolutely. 2 UK regional airlines gone in 2.5 weeks. I do hope all staff find new jobs.

Bringing this back to LBA I can't see anyone else wanting to, or even being in a position to, be able to pick up the SOU route ex LBA. Which will be disappointing but is nothing compared to those who have lost jobs

Sorry to hear of the loss of Blue Islands. It’s yet another a sad day for the UK Aviation industry as a whole losing yet another regional airline operator. The isn't many left now.

Seen as this is the route development thread I hope another operator can be found to replace some of the lost capacity,

• Loganair are going to take over the Jersey - Southampton, Guernsey, Bristol & Exeter routes along with competing with Aurginy on Guernsey - Southampton.
• Aurginy are going to operate Jersey - Guernsey route and add extra flights on Guernsey - Southampton.
• Skybus, I Hope JH can find a replacement aircraft/operator for the start of his new operation next week until Aurginy take over next February.
• I guess we will just have to wait longer for a Leeds - Southampton route, if it is ever to restart.

I know it’s not guaranteed but wow look at FR on the tail of Jet2, if this does come off is it a warning both Jet2 & easyJet?!. easyJet seem to be growing slowly and its very welcome. Offering more then Wizz now.

I wonder exactly when the official FR annoucement will come? I was told of an announcement in November, so should be in next 2 weeks.

When I was told about this Split was mentioned as a destination, but it doesnt appear in the list. I suppose things could have changed.

With the amount of slots held for Irish routes, they are clearly Ryanair routes and therefore I think it’s likely they’re trying to disguise their intentions on which routes they plan on opening. I for one really hope there will be a Milan route there, as that will save me the trek to MAN/STN 3 or so times a year

Honestly hope they all come off. What appears to be FR routes in there are all currently not served. It would be a huge win

Obviously it would be excellent if those possible new destinations come off, but wouldn’t it be great if they all were not Ryanair. Would love to see some variety at LBA (speaking as regular photographer at LBA).
