Come on Ryanair, let's get the 2013 summer programme announced!!

BigMan I think you'll find that Ryanair have been known in the past not to release there summer scheduled until late November/Early December time. So you'll be waiting a while yet for summer 2013 flights to be on sale mate.
I also understand that the full Winter 2012/2013 scheduled from Leeds has not been released yet as well, But they shouldn't be long to wait now by all counts.

And when the summer 2013 timetable is published regard it as a work in progress as Ryanair always brings out several 'editions' with routes coming and going and timings, frequencies and days of operation often altered as the season approaches.

I knew you would be first to bite lbaspotter. I thought I would get things moving again.

Local Yokel - quite right as usual.

But that leaves Tenerife (below) without a space in the 2 aircraft on Sundays.

Tenerife - 11:00 - 20:35

Ryanair will continue to have 3 based Boeing 737-800WL's at LBA in the winter season. As noted on most days only 2x aircraft will be required in service but the 3rd will act as standby and all 3 aircarft will be rotated on different days like last winter. Except on a Sunday when the 3rd aircraft will be used for the Tenerife flight.

They could be more than 3 aircraft as last winter Ryanair had 2x operational and 2x standby/parked aircraft at LBA.

At least it has confirmed that we have't lost Malta as originally thought.

Good news the morning Dublin flights on Tuesdays & Wednesdays which were recently announced as been axed by Ryanair for the winter 2012/13 season will now be operated by a Leeds based aircraft on selected dates which include the Christmas/New Years Festive Period and the Half Term School Holidays in February. The service will return back to normal 2x daily schedule on all days in mid March.

Tuesdays = 06:35-09:20 = 18 Dec - 08 Jan, 12 Feb - 19 Feb & 12 Mar - 26 Mar
Wednesdays = 06:40-09:25 = 19 Dec - 09 Jan, 13 Feb - 20 Feb & 13 Mar - 27 Mar

I guess we must be quite close to finalising the whole LBA Winter programme now?

I agree - about another 6-7 weeks and we ought to have a good idea of how it looks. :diablo:

The winter 2012/13 Sunday ryanair Tenerife flights have been changed. The service will now be operated by a Tenerife based aircraft instead which means the 3rd Leeds based aircraft is no longer needed.

New Times: FR2493 TFS 06:45 LBA 11:15 / FR2494 LBA 11:40 TFS 16:10

Also ryanair have now also added some extra flights to Fuerteventura and Krakow over the busy Christmas & New Years period as follows.

Thursdays 20/12 until 03/01: FR1584 LBA 13:30 FUE 18:00 / FR1585 FUE 18:35 LBA 23:05
Fridays 21/12 until 04/01: FR2332 LBA 13:45 KRK 17:20 / FR2333 KRK 17:45 LBA 19:35

Just as well. Fills a massive gap in arrivals between the KLM at 09:50 and the Easyjet at 12:00.

Is anybody expecting expansion from Ryanair for S13? 4th based a/c??

I actually think ryanair will consolidate there operation with just the 3x based aircraft at LBA next summer 2013. What I think will happen is that they might drop a few of the under performing routes or axe a few rotations and then maybe replace them by adding extra flights to the most popular destinations and possibly add a couple of new routes..

I think it would be to much off a big step up to add the 4x based aircraft just yet. I maybe be proven wrong so I guess watch this space and see what happens between now and next March. November-December time is when Ryanair start to load up there website with the first draft of the Summer programme, Buy as has been mentioned before it will change quite a few times before it's fully finalized.

Cheers for your thoughts lbaspotter. I guess Ryanair always have the option of flying from other bases into LBA rather than adding an extra 737 to the base. Come to think of it that may be better for the airport as these flights generally arrive/depart at the quieter times of the day.

Kos is back for next summer. Showing on the Ryanair website as a 'new' route from 3/4/13.

That's vintage Ryanair.

They invariably show seasonal routes as 'new' even when they were flown in the same season the previous year.

This is another route where they stopped it due to a falling out with the Greek authorities, but when they announced they were pulling it early I did suggest it would be back for 2013. As Local Yokel says, its vintage Ryanair - big fuss as they pull out and then carry on as normal next year.

Well ryanair is the only option for Kos again next summer. If they had pulled the route KGS would have been unserved from LBA again.

Does anybody know of any possible new routes from ryanair for next summer?

I think: LBA-BUD (Budapest) & LBA- WMI (Warsaw Modlin) would work?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
