Thought I'd give an update on some load performance now the summer holidays have begun (focusing mainly on outbound)
All flights to Poland, Riga and Bucharest are pretty much full (Gdansk, Warsaw, Riga and Bucharest are therefore business as usual, Poznan and Wroclaw have had more significant jump, Krakow is generally fine except the later Tuesday flights have slightly lower loads)
Ryanair compete very strongly to Alicante compared to other routes where they compete with Jet2, with even the traditionally lighter-loaded late departures on Sunday and Monday around 90% loaded, with these being the third departures of the day. Loads to Palma, for example, are lower if it's the second outbound in the evening (not to say the loads are weak - more like 80%, though outside of the peak they have been rather weaker). I put this down to Jet2 throwing everything at Palma in July/August, with often 2-3 flights in the evening
Ibiza continues to fall below my expectations, though I believe tomorrow's outbound exceeds 70-75%, rather above the 50-60% I've been used to seeing for Monday outbounds
Dublin flights follow the trend of being much higher loaded in holiday periods. Weekday outbounds Tuesday-Thursday are often not amazing, however last week they picked up nicely and I see them continuing to do the same
Faro and Girona, the weakest loaded of the 'traditional' destinations, are all roughly full, as expected (I'm putting lower loads outside of the peaks for both routes down to consistently poor flight times and high capacity)
Even in peak season the Saturday outbound to Lanzarote can't seem to break 75%. This may have something to do with arriving in Lanzarote at 1am. Tenerife, however, doesn't have to seem these same issues on Sundays despite similarly abysmal flight times
Hope this was of some interest
