Travelled out on Friday to Barcelona and back Monday (LS231/232). There was no queue at Jet2 check in ( I mean no queue - we had the choice of every desk) and all desks open and similarly at security. The flight Boarded some 50 minutes before the stated departure time and arrived about 10 minutes early into BCN. The return trip was just as efficient with a mix of Jet 2 and Swissport staff on hand at BCN. We landed 21 minutes early into LBA and bags off before the stated arrival time. Well done Jet 2!

The only pain was the 20 minute wait for the taxi which seems to be sometimes the case in the afternoon.

Interestingly both flights (on days when there is competition from both Monarch and Vueling) were almost full! Jet2 was also the most expensive option but for a few nights away the flight time was by far the best for us.

ALC in February with Jet2. Great fight times, 22 kgs baggage and of course friendly low fares!

Summer holiday not yet decided but I'm leaning towards the west coast of America San Fran, LA etc. Looks like a trip over the hill will be in order unless BA offer anything decent.

:wtf:

I returned last week from a trip to the Far East. Flew KLM for the first time and was very impressed. Flights from and back into LBA on the EMB were both full. On the return the 2 ladies sat in front of me and the family behind were inbound from Paris.
My internal flights on my trip were with THAI, HK Express, United Airlines and Thai Lion Air. Fun times.

I'm starting to watch this weekend's weather forecast with hope and trepidation. Flying out on EI3391 to DUB on Saturday morning with a 1hour 25min transfer window before EI0105 departs to JFK. Can't afford any delays. Any weather watchers out there who might be able to have a go at predicting my odds for success at LBA at 8.10am on Saturday?!

just booked my parents and 3 friends on Monarch - Alicante, 10/04/2017 - 18/04/2017
and also
booked my parents and 2 friends on Monarch - Alicante, 06/06/2017 - 15/06/2017
Glad to be supporting Monarch as I did push them to book with Monarch!
Long live Monarch is what I say!

Just booked a day return on the 31st October from Heathrow up to Leeds, but this time it’s on expenses . BA1346 up and back on the 1343.

As YorkGuy eluded to previously, as we are now entering the fog period can I request a Northerly wind and a dry runway so we can at least hope for a CAT3 approach if necessary.

I can’t wait to use the toilets in the arrival area by the way lol

I have just booked on to the late Northbound from Heathrow on 13th November. The first time I have been able to book it for a while as it actually exists!

En route from LBA to JFK with Aer Lingus using slightly dodgy onboard wifi. Terminal was heaving at LBA first thing but was coping fairly well. Flight was about 10 mins early so transfer in Dublin was easy. US immigration took around 15 minutes which beats doing it in JFK where the waits are horrendous. Flight from LBA had around 50 on board, the majority transferring to trans Atlantic flights. Very impressed so far. Let's hope the return works as well

Oh and after all my fears about late October delays, it was perfect at LBA at 6am. Excellent visibility, not a breath of wind, dry with a light cloud covering. No probs at all, just as Aviador predicted

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
