Flew back from ALC to LBA yesterday on FR9078, was onboard one of the max8 aircraft, although im still a little nervy i must say there an excellent aircraft and feel so much bigger inside than the 800 with some nice touches ie blue lighting, touchscreen monitors for cabin crew and curvy roof design inside.
Was a lovely takeoff from ALC with minimal power, in fact you could hardly tell it had lifted off, it seems to have a very smooth feel overall.
Landing at LBA was firm but not bad at all, the maxs seems to have very good stopping power.
Next trip 1st sept with ryanair LBA-ALC.

In the ongoing process of emptying the Kids inheritance coffers, we booked last night for Fue again in January..Jet2 from LBA...was without choice this time...Ryanair were stupid money with limited choice of flights, unless you went over the hill🙄...Easy from LPL and Manc were cheaper but poor flight times..

Jet2 wiped the floor with them all on price and much better flight times and choice of days... Interesting that the prices dropped sharply in the last month or so...Maybe they've heard the feedback and taking action...Let's hope so

The high prices indicate they are reserving seats for Jet2 Holidays. The lower fares may indicate the FUE packages are not selling well, maybe a victim of anti-tourist sentiment in the Canaries?
Being a frequent visitor to the Island, there is no tourist animosity there or even brewing...unlike a lot of the others. In May we stayed in Americas 2 in Corralejo, one of only 2 tourist properties in the complex of local working people and were warmly greeted...
Friends on the Island confirmed this as well.

I flew this morning with Jet2 to GRO. Arrived at LBA at 0245. Check in opened at 03:00….no queues. We had fast track….absolutely not needed at 03:10 as walked straight to the scanners. Lounge opened at 04:00. We were in the Yorkshire Lounge, busy but not full for the 2 hours we were in there. Outside the lounge it was very busy. Very easy morning travelling through LBA this morning.

I flew GRO-LBA this morning with Jet2 on G-GDFT. 139+5 on board…I heard the dispatcher tell the flight supervisor. Bang on time departure from GRO and 30mins early into LBA. Parked on stand 8 I think and the air bridge was attached. Luckily we got to immigration before the Sun Express and FR OPO pax who were disembarking next to us on stand 9 & 10. Straight through immigration, all desks manned. Down to belt 2 and a 5 min wait for our cases. We were getting picked up by my friends partner who didn’t mind paying the £7 drop off fee. We had a good 30min wait because we landed so early. 2 things I noticed. The amount of cars and taxis that used the £7 drop off area. Far more than I would have thought. Also the comments from people waiting to be picked up and being dropped off when they saw the “Ey Up Yorkshire” signage on the terminal….they loved it!

Just booked to go to Dublin next Saturday. The 6am to DUB is selling for £91 one way. Quick look around and the 6am to BVA is £15 then a BVA-DUB for €32 which will still get me there before lunchtime. 2 hours wait in BVA.
Flying FR from ALC to BVA Then onto LBA is less than half the price of flying direct from ALC to LBA during october! BVA is a good little airport to travel through.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 2nd time
If you’re tired of takeoffs, you’re tired of life.
49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
