I flew EFL-LBA last night with Jet2 on a 737-300. Almost full flight with 145 on board, I counted 49 pax getting off the inbound from LBA which is understandable as the Summer season in Kefalonia for J2 ends the first week of October. We landed 45mins early after a flight of 3h 10m. Parked on stand 17 opposite the J2 engineering offices and walked into the terminal from there. 25mins to get past border control, 4 desks for UK passports and 1 desk for other passports and specials. Can confirm 3 baggage belts are in use at the present time.

I seem to remember hearing that the final 2 belts wouldnt come into use until both buildings were merged at the end of phase 2.

Update, new terminal is falling apart as the very uncomfortable wooden seat my mother and i were sat on collapsed 😂 the wood parts literally just pull off the metal holders.
Well that's what you get in this day and age with contractors. Also new builds how many videos online of inspectors going to site and walls out of plumb, waste pipes running up hill! It's the norm now.
The site foreman are as bad

More cowboys than proper trades men.
Your better off watching a you tube video to do something rather than get bodgit and scarper in!

Add the buckets of water that are filling up in the new arrivals security due leaky pipes above in ceiling.

Oh please not all builders are bodgit and scarper. I know myself and others take pride in our work.
Must admit the build quality is quite poor with numerous defects spotted, also the steps down from each gate feel so out of place abit like your walking down steps in a factory and unfinished with bare concrete showing.

Vince Hodder did say that there are still a number of snagging items to attend to, which is quite normal for a contract of this size. If pipes are leaking, then at least the decision to have industrial look open ceilings means they can easily be fixed. And they don't have to beg or threaten the contractor to return to site as they're still there. Part of the problem will be that there's a very small window of opportunity to carry out these fixes given the terminal is in use virtually 24/7. You can't have a guy 10' up ladders fixing a leak whilst surrounded by passengers! So, some of these jobs may have to wait until November when LBA effectively closes the terminal overnight.

We didnt find them unco
Wasn't being sarcastic. Glad you take pride in your work good trades men are difficult to find. Been let down by many in past. Come and look at job and quote and then never reply when you want to proceed!
What trade are you in?
My experience too- just unreliable. I think its a major issue for reputable builders too not being able to find sub-contract tradesmen they can rely on.

I’ve just booked 5 nights in Mallorca for next summer to hopefully see the total solar eclipse on the 12th August. easyJet holidays were coming up £250 cheaper than Jet2holidays for the same hotel and with much better flight times.

Flying tomorrow morning with Wizz to WAW and back Monday lunchtime with FR. I’m not escaping the cold as snow is forecast in Warsaw on Sunday for the first day of the Christmas markets.
There is a good viewing area at waw where you can see most of the action, its certainly worth a visit, Good train connections from waw to the cc as well.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
