As this is BHX & we are used to things not always going our way - but great news so far & hope more will come .... But we should realise that if they get Additional LGW slots Wizz Will prioritise these

Entirely depends on what happens with slots. Wizz is pushing for the slot "use it or lose it" rule to be re-introduced ASAP so that other airlines get stripped of their slots so Wizz can move in.

Currently the alleviation ends at the start of W20/21, but the suggestion is IATA, ICAO or whoever decides, won't apply the rule for this winter, and depending on how things are next summer, maybe even then too.

If that happens, Wizz won't be able to pick up any meaningful amount of slots at Gatwick until W21/22, so they may look elsewhere in the meantime.

Aircraft will be retired however it's worth noting Wizz have an exceptionally young fleet they will focus on Gatwick when they get the chance and I expect a double digit base there eventually but with so many aircraft to be delivered expect two and three aircraft bases to be quite normal at the likes of BHX,DSA or Liverpool short to mid term that seems the way other new European bases are being built at present with the odd airport getting 5-6 aircraft but that seems more Eastern Europe based.

Riga went on sale almost 3 weeks ago with Vilnius a few days after yet I can find absolutely nothing anywhere from BHX.

I'm not sure how difficult it is to get a simple press release put together but even a retweet of the Wizz releases would have been something.

They can manage it for Jet2, Aer Lingus, TUi, Blue Islands, Loganair.......?

Budapest suspended after 5th September

Next Wizz flight bookable is 3rd Oct. Jet2 currently have the next BUD as 18th Sept but obviously both are subject to change.

Well done to Doncaster securing yet more Wizz routes, do you think we could borrow their route development team for a month or so ??

Excellent stuff for DSA, they now have 23 routes from Wizz which is very healthy indeed.

As for BHX, even a few more away based destinations would be nice. Milan, Larnaca, Bacau and Varna for starters (y)

Warsaw has a third weekly flight back on the website for winter although currently showing sold out.

Nothing in the app though so we'll see.

There are some destinations that I would like Wizz Air to invest on operating from the midlands and will be busy: Tel Aviv and North America they will be very busy.

The winter schedule as it stands, twenty rotations per week to eight destinations.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
