Also i wonder if with the 757s going BHX might see some more 787 short haul routes as well.

More likely that we'll see 737 MAX 10's as that is what TUI is using to replace the 757.

I think the 737s are MAX 8 not 10s of which they will have 6 by next summer , I believe upto
3 will be based at MAN and at least a couple at LGW to replace B757 flights ( 4 to have gone by May next year )
with them all gone by next winter

Try as they might the airlines and manufacturers are finding the 757 a difficult aircraft to replace in some circumstances given the combination of its capabilities re runway performance, range and capacity. I wonder if Boeing regret closing the line when they did.

They have converted 10 of the 70 aircraft order and the design was finalised in the summer so guess probably several years before in service, my guess 2022

As we know the order for 70 aircraft covers several countries and the allocation of aircraft at present is not

Seems a but unfair on the poor folk of Manchester to be using them as guinea pigs to test a brand new aircraft - one that's already had an FAA emergency order issued

G-TUMA, The first 737 MAX 8 for TUI Airways, is due to roll out of the paint shop in the coming days, so we will be seeing a delivery flight in the coming weeks.
