Are 3 piers to now be constructed? I was under the impression that only 2 would be built.

Pier 3 is probably about 10 years off. I'd say, would be significant disruption during construction, with loss of all legacy stands on T2. Makes you wonder if its worth it, as wouldn't be much of a net gain in contact stands and loss of even more remote stands. My feeling is either to connect and refurbish Pier C or demolish it, to allow for remote stands for busing from T2, then start Pier 3 maybeAre 3 piers to now be constructed? No.Are 3 piers to now be constructed? I was under the impression that only 2 would be built.
Do you have a linky link? There’s some suggestion the Seven Brothers place will have views out into the legacy atrium area and you’d walk under this to get to the media wall area. From MAGs latest update progress has been made in installing the new escalators
So security has moved downstairs to where the F&B outlets were and retail has moved upstairs to where security was? They don’t have the money for pier 3 at the moment the hope is once all of T2 is re open commercial revenues will rise. In regard to the legacy T2 layout level 2 is check in and security level 3 is the retail boulevard directly above security. It’s like an IKEA layout a lot of walking. I have always liked the glass roof of the legacy T2 so will be glad to see that re open.
Yes. It will match T2X.So security has moved downstairs to where the F&B outlets were and retail has moved upstairs to where security was?
How many wide body stands will Pier 2 provide? How many for standard and medium bodies? Will there be new contactless stands? Assuming 2 x A380 stands can be used by other types too? Will T2 legacy stands remain as is now?
Does anyone know if the internal layout and capability of the flexi stands (as an example 310 and 306) allows for 2 narrow bodies to be handled simultaneously with the jet bridges connected to different flights?
Also, will these gates will be numbered as B gates with the legacy 201-211 gates becoming C gates?
There was talk of 205 coming back and/or 208 going. Time of course will tell. 209,10 and 11 have of course gone.According to MAG, they will be flexible, as will all stands. So overnight across these two stands, there will be 4 narrowbody aircraft.
This pier will have the gates designated as C gates. The B gates are already allocated to the remote stands across the western apron and the Zulu stands located the other side of pier 1.
So the legacy T2 will remain with stands 201-208 (minus 205 as this has been taken out of use).
What's happening with 205 or 208? Why going? Are there any plans to upgrade T2 legacy stands pier, replace airbridges etc, assuming Pier 3 has been scrapped? There was talk of 205 coming back and/or 208 going. Time of course will tell. 209,10 and 11 have of course gone.

Stand 205 was last used back in 2016, the airbridge was later removed in April 2017 and as has been said already, this stand is used for GSE parking. Stand 211 went the same way, now used by Jet2.What's happening with 205 or 208? Why going? Stand 12 will remain for the time being. It can accommodate 2x code C or 1 code F. So will remain in use for EZY as 12L/12R.What are plans for A380 Gate on Pier B, once Pier 2 opens? Will it be decommissioned?

With additional based aircraft next summer easyJet and Ryanair will share Pier B. Reconfigured stands 16 & 17 will also accommodate 2 additional code C aircraft with the removal of stand 18 (currently used for winter vehicle storage). This is planned for spring 25.
Stand 57 is also to become a contact stand in the spring with a series of bus shelter style tunnels installed from the original gate 56.
Biometrics installation is ongoing in T2 ready for both BA & EI to move over in 2025.
As always though, plans change by the day at MAN.
There was certainly pier B access from the southern front for the 1994 Superhub; I’d assume it’s still usable if not in use.I'm assuming this will mean all Pier B departures will be accessed from T3 from when EasyJet and Ryanair share the pier then? That is of course if T1 Departures from the Duty Free area and Pier C are still planned to close? Will be interesting how they send passengers into Pier B from T3 if so.
