Great news and good frequencies, allows for flexible durations. be great for other Turkish destinations to be added, but im being greedy now!

LBA have done really well to attract Sun Express considering the amount of flights we already have to AYT. Clearly they recognise the LBA potential. Just need some other airlines recognise that potential and follow suit now, especially those in the same group as Sun Express!

I agree. Lets hope they attract some more to fill in the quiet periods and next time a new destination maybe?

There’s been loads of TV adverts pushing Turkey as a holiday destination and this, coupled with the increasing popularity of arranging your own accommodation rather than going on a package, is probably as opportune a time as any to announce a new seat only service in 2024.

Also good to see the LBA flights for sale on online travel agents (Travel Republic, Love Holidays & On the Beach) on the beach look to have a good partnership with them offering free hold luggage. Hopefully these flights sell well and more frequency / destinations can be added. Got a long time to sell which is great. Fingers crossed

Looks like I maybe using the new Sun Express service to Antalya in late June from Leeds next summer 2024.

As *On the Beach" have some incredible good prices for 2+ weeks all inclusive holidays to Alanya. The offer of 20kg hold baggage included isn't to be sniffed at either.

Why not, strong forward bookings could see more rotations added. I think the On the Beach partnership puts the Sun Express brand in a strong position over its other Turkish carriers/competition. The "Holiday Best" website seem to be advertising attractive holidays for next year.

And customers may be put off going to Greece with what is currently going on there, so perhaps Turkey will be a viable alternative

Thomas Cook Holidays seem to be using Sun Express as it's choice of operator for its Turkey holidays next summer 2024.

The more the merrier. Like you say it may even lead to an increase in frequency..

All I have read about XQ thus far, has been extremely positive. Let's hope this is the start of a long and expanding relationship with LBA

So I wonder if Sun Express knew TUI were already going to commit to taking seats on the LBA flights? Definitely reduces commercial risk to them if so. So currently we have only really gained 2 extra AYT flights a week now. These and the other operator I have got memory fade on right now, less losing the two Freebird ones. That said it's still an increase so should take that. And I think this may mean an increase from Sun Express sooner rather than later - I certainly hope so anyway. LBA seems to be gaining traction with a wider variety of airlines

LBA need the big one in, TK turkish with their large onward connections network and of course great for visiting istanbul.
If seats are selling well on sun express then it would be good to see some other sun turkey routes.

Sun express will do well out of LBA with the sun destinations and I suspect may offer AYT throughout winter depending how it goes.

Like you say we do need TK for the onward connections. A b737-800 every day will suffice given their connections onwards to Pakistan and the rest of the Middle East.
