Im still feeling confident that IPS can provide the asian community of west yorkshire a reliable service, its early days. Mindu it could not get any worse than PIA, half their pilots faked their licences!
Doesn’t sound like they are doing that at the moment when some people have lost 3k and being told at short notice their flights cancelled. It’s already a bad start that will knock peoples trust in using this supposed airline.

How on earth is the pandemic and Brexit to blame for IPS's last minute flight cancellations? I feel very sorry for the families who have paid for flights, but start-up airlines are always a risk. Personally, I wouldn't put my money anywhere near IPS.

Kevin

It isn’t. But I am sure they are hiding behind this in order to avoid paying compensation when cancelling flights within 14 days of travel.

Brexit and the pandemic arent legitimate excuses. This is not even a paper airline. I am sure a condition of being allowed to fly to the UK will be putting up a bond and signing up to the UK passenger protection legislation. If they havent done this then I cant see the CAA giving them a permit to fly to the UK in future.

Its all very amateurish.

Funnily enough IPS Airways now no longer have any flights on sale bookable on its website. Not even from the new proposed start date in November.

The pop-up message on the website regards the cancelled flights has also been updated with any reference to Brexit removed.

I wonder why the changes now?

Not forgetting that even if they are refunding flights in full they’ve had use of that money for some considerable time.
I wouldnt be surprised if they dont refund at all. They must have incurred significant costs already and they may as well just wind up the company.

If paid with a credit card the money can easily be recovered from the credit card company, and it then becomes the company’s problem getting it from the airline.

Looks like IPS have pulled the plug completley on EMA & LBA

Let's get it right, and these are my own thoughts only.

I bet now that the flight cancellations have been made public by the press, and it looks as though the CAA are aware of what's going on. I bet it's put IPS Airways in an impossible situation where they have had to back peddle a bit. In the first instance i really can't blame them for trying, but all seems a bit too late now..

As the saying goes, "if you going to do it right, do it right the first time"

So, who are the new markings and equipment at LBA for?

The not new!

Stand 14A wide-bodied markings have been there since the Balkan Holidays Air A330 & Canadian Air Force Boeing C17 appeared

LBA have also said in one of the local press articles they were already geared up to handle wide-bodied aircraft if IPS Airways A330 had apperraed. Most of the equipment was already on site it just needed servicing and re-introduction to airport airside operations.

Now we have the equipment again airside, it may come in handy for any winter diverts or if DSA dose close.

No disrespect to Sean M on Twitter but he has only stated what we already knew so no credits required.

I thought what we knew until now was postponed until October/November. This seems new info as he is saying completely canned.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
