No they only have A320s and A321s

Good old Aer Lingus, in their various frames, forms and franchises have never been far away from Leeds Bradford Airport over the decades. Much the same story at Bristol. Even with their frequent operational difficulties with the ATR72, Aer Lingus have stuck with us. Perhaps they can do the Heathrow flights for us.

Thats a good suggestion. As they are part of BA (IAG) they could offer interlining at Heathrow. Might be a good idea for the airport to raise the possibility with them especially since nothing seems to have come from the Loganair negotiations.

No idea why they then left it to British Airways but when they did return it was the godawful Shorts 330, then the Shorts 360, Saab 340, then the Fokker F50 and now the ATR72. I cant help but wonder if we would have Airbus aircraft now were it not for the excellent capacity provided by Ryanair.

Emerald are now going the LGW/GLA flights for BA so could be a possibility. Not sure how it would work without a base.

Personally I think BA on the route needs BA A319 back. Loganair ATR codeshare would be ok if it ever came off, but BA would be preferred.

Three operators but not attractive for business travellers, hence Im forced to fly from MAN. Frustrating.

If and its a big if it wouldn't be mainline Aer Lingus, it would be Emerald Airlines operating ATRs.

Aer Lingus Regional reductions to Dublin - peak-summer
It looks like Aer Lingus have reduced the LBA-DUB route to just 13x weekly from the beginning of July. They've removed one AT72 from the flying schedule meaning BHX, LBA, ABZ, IOM and LPL see a reduction in weekly departures.
BHX has been hid hardest with 12x less departures per week. LBA and ABZ see 4x less. LPL and IOM each see 1x less. No other UK airports are affected.

This is very disappointing. What's the reason? Is it aircraft shortage as potentially stated above or are they actually getting out fought by FR and not picking up enough P2P traffic to top up connections?
Anyone know the reason for the 1 aircraft removal? Is it for improved schedule resilience?
