I tend to agree with @White Heather assumption on this. We will probably hear more when the is a breaking ground ceremony.

Thank you for the update. So what, does that mean we're back to around 2019 for the moment at least.I had a quick snoop around the terminal extension zone and can confirm there is a cordoned off area but no sign of any plant machinery.

It will be interesting to see how Labour react.Just thought I would share this. Whilst if true, it's good news, all I will say is, remember what happened with LBAs sustainable terminal scheme when reading this article.

Government tipped to reject formal advice to halt airport expansion
Plans to subsidise green aviation fuels expectedtravelweekly.co.uk
Like they always do. Shock, horror. Critical. But no alternative plan that doesn't have major implications for the country's finances. It will be interesting to see how Labour react.
I just want to hear Kier Starmer say he supports airport development. Pin his colours to the mast as it were.Like they always do. Shock, horror. Critical. But no alternative plan that doesn't have major implications for the country's finances.
Labour seem to be very anti aviation at local MP level, yet have a leader who has publicly stated he is not opposed to airport development (wish he had told the famous five in Leeds) for similar reasons to the PM. Then at local Authority level we have Labour wholeheartedly allowing the development of MAN, fighting to restore a lost cause at DSA but forever dithering at LBA. If they have a policy, even they dont seem to know what it is.
Well typically, instead of saying he supports airport development, he said he doesn't necessarily object to it. Slightly in the fence and leaving himself some wriggle room. Labours policies all seem to be a well kept secret!I just want to hear Kier Starmer say he supports airport development. Pin his colours to the mast as it were.
Thats why Im hoping (against the odds) that he will be drawn by the government to to make his position very clear. With around a year to the next General Election what Sunak says is irrelevant as he more than likely will lose. As for Starmer, who knows what his attitude to aviation will be if he gets into power?
Thats what Ive said. They have to be secret for now. Let the tories show their cards first and then Labour come out with theirs.
Well London Heathrow and Gatwick have already said they have used it, but to what extent I'm not sure.I wonder if any of the terminal work done in previous years involved the dreaded RAAC to keep costs down?
