I shall be the one to ask if there is any substantial basis to all the exponential easyJet talk? Is there?

I do hope so but I've learned about cautious optimism, if not cynicism, over many years in the civil aviation industry.

The LDY thread on the DFF also suggesting their U2 S25 schedule will be released between 20Nov and end of the month, so @lbaspotter could have a reliable source, unless of course it's the same one

Can confirm my source is different, can’t say much more than I said already due to confidentiality.

Great news, again using less busier times it seems. Hope these preform well for easyJet and we see more

should be 4 weekly for PMI once loaded
Can’t see anything in the website yet. Is this true? 4 weekly is great. Shame ALC hasn’t been thrown in the mix but great to see AGP / PMI introduced. PMI will have record flights next year it seems from LBA

PMI 4 x weekly from June, 2 weekly in May.

AGP weekly until June when it goes 2 x weekly.

Seems a precursor like what happened at BHX.

Shame no increase in CDG to year round but I would have thought AMS would have been a good daily or 2 x daily after Jet2 withdrew the route.
I guess it's possible that the Paris route is taking advantage of an available aircraft, and that this aircraft is otherwise occupied in the busier summer months. Nevertheless, if it sells well, it increases the chances that they'll bring it back on a permanent basis at some point.

Its a relief we now have confirmation of Easyjets increased schedule and their committnent is very welcome- however the choice of destinations is uninspiring. Lets hope this doesnt just serve to dilute traffic on existing services to PMI and AGP.

I think they are initially adopting the cautious approach with 2 routes that are bound to sell well (despite the LS and FR presence on these routes). As you commented , provided the program sells well, you would hope for something slightly more audacious in the future.

I think the other thing to consider here is that there is a bit of a turf war developing between U2 and LS, so let's hope there are only winners - i.e. the consumer and no one ends up losing. I for one do though see it as a very positive development. That's a bit more colour variety for the photographers too. Hopefully not the last of the variety to be announced either.........

I agree... let battle commence. I would rather see an expanding U2 presence to the possible detriment to LS than LS pushing out U2.

I think you need to be careful what you wish for. I have watched Easyjet ops from Liverpool for many many years, and I can tell you they do not show much loyalty. Whilst they are still Liverpool's biggest carrier, they do very odd things, and chop long standing busy routes for seemingly no reason. From what I've seen LS are not like that and are more steadfast.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
