I’ve just had a look too. They have also partnered up with cricket player Will Smeed to advertise the route.

Seems a strange choice - unless he has a strong following in Pakistan.

It just seems so strange that LBA management have said nothing, but then again this is LBA! Also what aircraft is to be used, we presume its the A330, if so where are they sourcing the aircraft/s from, will the aircrafts be painted up in IPS colour scheme, and have they permission to fly into uk airports. Im still 50/50 on this but as each week passes it gets more promising!
Can imagine it on the 6th aug at lba when an A330 turns up unexpected haha

Yeah they have partnered with a 20/20 cricket team who have so big name players. If it does appear on the 6/8 I won’t see it as I’m in Spain!

There’s a month left until they’re suppose to start ops there’s still time for developments and the airport might announce it at some point between now and next month.. it’s a game of waiting and seeing.

I have twice written to LBA management and mentioned this, and twice, had no response. That tells me there's something in this, as they always reply. However, it's highly irregular selling seats on a new route that hasn't been formally confirmed by either LBA or EMA.

I don't think BE announced their services until around a month beforehand - then again, we knew they were coming and they weren't selling tickets until that point!

I'm wondering if LBA are not going to comment until all of the 'i's' are dotted and the 't's' crossed. There also seems to be nothing from EMA, possibly for the same reason. I hope the service operates and wish it all the best if it does.

I was in Islamabad a couple of weeks ago, and there was no sign of any advertising of IPS Airways. Even the ground staff had never heard of them.

I’m back in Pakistan next week, so I’ll keep my eyes peeled to see if there’s any advertising around.

Well as I understand it, LBA staff are working on the assumption that flights start from 6th August, but will 'believe it when they see it'. I also understand that the airport is now equipped to handle an A330, but still no announcements at either LBA or EMA. One of life's little mysteries. Meanwhile, it's still a subject which LBA have declined to reply or comment in response to my enquiries.
