Am i going blind, dont see anything on ips?But thanks for the update, positive news regarding a full terminal upgrade plus extension!
Sorry to disappoint but you asked if there was any news at all. Not just about IPS.
I can honestly say that there wasn't any utterance of IPS today. I suspect anyone who did would have been barred!
Wizz not mentioned specifically but as I have said before, LBA will not discuss new airline partners at all until such time as a contract is signed and all is confirmed. Commercial in confidence etc.
There are clues today to suggest a new airline might be on the horizon but not who.

On another side note, as mentioned previous, a huge expansion of Turkish carriers operating into many UK regional airports now (NCL & BRS as well as the usual favourites) to AYT & DLM, be great if LBA can manage to get a slice of this action. Huge market.

They certainly serve some long haul destinations I currently have to go to manchester for.

I’d certainly be happy with Wizz at LBA providing Ryanair don’t cut back in response

Which is exactly why I'd rather LBA try and encourage more from Ryanair before even thinking about Wizz. It will benefit the airport far better having Ryanair on board with another unit then W based flights from Wizz Air which dilutes the competition.

As ive posted in the past Wizz overlap only a few destinations from what FR do so hopefully wouldn't see much competition on that behalf, we would see new and welcome routes from Wizz & could encourage them to expand more eastern Europe destinations.

Not sure why the concern about Wizz coming in (if).
They largely offer different routes, would likely be working W patterns thus operating at off peak periods and as touched on - reduce the risk associated with limited airlines.
I’m sure Ryanair will be well aware of any rumours and have had (still do) ample opportunities to act if they are concerned.
Ryanair, Wizz, Easy operate side by side elsewhere.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
