lets keep our fingers crossed! I was just wondering, how do you find out information about expected announcements? I know people say rumours, but who starts them / makes them?

I seriously doubt it. Bridgepoint and the LBA management are extremely good at keeping secrets these days. I'd say you're more likely to hear leaks from Mi5 or the KGB.

New routes will be by Yorkshire Airlines which will have 2 A380 flying daily to Cardiff, Norwich, Humberside and Prestwick with free Fish Chips and Mushy Peas

Wrong

BA can't agree things with ARN in time so are going to do their 787 pilot training on the LBA route. They are particularly keen to explore the crosswind and low viz capability of their new machines.

All pax expected to sit in Club World.

First sector date to be announced in due course.

But woebetide if one gets canx...... ;)

I would suspect easyjet considering the airline luggage guages that has been arriving. Either that or they are keen to set up for next winter.

i thought we was making unusual suggestions until we're put out of our misery with the proper announcement  :s_tongue

Well I thought perhaps EasyJet might announce some new routes out of LBA for next April, especially as Geneva appears to have been successful, maybe Madrid and Copenhagen for starters, but then lbaspotter mentioned a Boeing operator! I do think that at some stage EasyJet will increase their presence at Leeds, the potential for growth seems to be there (19.5% inc last month) and other airlines such as Monarch making noises that they want to increase at LBA.

I was hoping it would be a Star Alliance airline, given we don't have one any more. Would be nice to have someone restore the Brussels link, tho I'm not sure who.

Probably be another Ryanair or something tho.

The ryanair rumour could be true, however from 3 to 5 is a bit steep. Maybe fourth yes.

Boeing operator Something to do with Jet2 perhaps. Or better still thomson to base a THOMSON registered aircraft based year round.

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
