The Holloway Circus Tower looks very stubby there even though it's only around 10m shorter then The Mercian.

The building next to BT with the red core (can't remember it's name?) is starting to make it's presence known when I drive down the Collector Road. I don't think it will be long before it starts dominating the view.

One Eastside mate, photo taken today from the Selfridges car park, still got circa 20 floors to go ;-)

And one from Nortons in Digbeth ;-)

Also , you know i'm a sucker for Aircraft warning lights, both One Eastside and The Octagon have warning lights half way up on both towers. As well as on the top ;-)
If you like the lights, the best view I have ever seen is the one across London from the QE Bridge at Dartford on a clear night. Keep your eye on the road though!

Yesterday me and around 200 other people gathered at St Andrews to put some love back into the local community for a mega clean up of the streets. I am already part of a litter picking group in the Digbeth area of the city, however we collaborated with the BCFC OSC and we cleaned up the streets around the stadium.

This event went ahead despite rumours of unrest in other parts of the city, it shows that if people come together, not only can we LOVE OUR STREETS, we can also LOVE EACH OTHER

#PEACE :love::love::love:

Oh, I also support AVFC, so slightly awkward, however Brum always comes first ;-)

This is the type of work that they should get the far right hooligans to do. Show them what community means. They may change their ways or at least open their eyes to how wonderful communities of all types of people can be and the love of diversity.

Well done, BrumX.

I really like this (y)

Looking around SSC earlier I noticed an interesting new tower for Lancaster Circus. I was hunting for an update on that tower next to Lloyd House but can't remember what it is called?

Do we think these proposals will actually happen or will they follow so many others and fade away never to be heard of again?

Firstly as always thanks BrumX for the latest info. Looks great.

I have been pondering the same, Ray. It is a strange location but it will be inevitable that the city centre living will head that way.

Is it this one? Curzon Wharf: https://woodbournegroup.com/curzon-wharf/

And today the high court denied the Save Smallbrook group a judicial review into its demolition. Leaves the door open for the first 600 footers.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
