Birmingham was absolutely buzzing yesterday, as busy as I've seen it for a long time and such a great atmosphere too, especially when Mr Motivator was doing his thing.
Centenary Square and Victoria Square were both full to bursting yet we still managed to sneak a front row spot to see the marathon medal winners 🙂 The Birmingham 2022 Megastore had quite a considerable queue to get in, as my lad wanted a Perry we headed down to the store on New Street which was still fairly busy. Saw lots of money being spent, they must be making a fortune.
Whilst earwigging other peoples conversations there were lots of positive comments with plenty of pictures and selfies being taken.
My only negative is with long queues at pretty much every restaurant we walked past I thought there may have been a more extensive food offering. I think I saw a couple of stands in Vic Square but that's about it. Minor issue though and along with the restaurants, the shops must be doing a roaring trade on meal deals.
Not managed to get down to Smithfield yet as kids just wanted to see the bull, hopefully will head there on Wed.
