Once a big player at LPL, Wizz have now dropped GDN, leaving LPL only serving 3 routes, like LBA.

Something tells me its going to go one way or the other with wizz, either LPL and LBA chopped or out the blue positive announcement, i really hope wizz make something of LBA as like previously mentioned we dont have the problem of MAN, perfect aircraft and a whole market to themselves here east of the pennines!

Wizz Air updated LBA Summer 2025 scheduled.

Wizz Air will be operating up to 9x weekly flights from Leeds/Bradford next summer 2026 on its 3+ Eastern European routes to Bucharest, Warsaw Chopin & Cluj Napoca.

Bad News: 3x Weekly Gdansk route dropped.

Good News: Cluj Napoca sees a capacity increase with a 3rd weekly Wednesday flight added from April to June & September to October whilst the Monday & Friday flights are upgraded from Airbus A320NEO to the larger Airbus A321NEO. Also all Bucharest & Warsaw flights that have previously been operated by the older Airbus A321CEO have switched to the newer A321NEO.

CLJ looks to be x2 weekly for Summer into Winter

The chop & change nature of Wizz Air schedule is hard to keep up with.

Yeap the Wednesday Cluj flight in April-May & September-October has been dropped. Days of operation on next winter 2026/27 have changed from Thu & Sun to Mon & Fri.

Bucharest is down to 2x weekly at the moment but increases up to 4x weekly at the start of the summer 2026 schedule. But then reverts back to 3x weekly in June.

Warsaw is also showing 2x Thursday flights not operating on March 5th & 12th only for some unknown reason.

Looks like Wizz Air's Leeds - Bucharest service drops from 3x to 2x weekly from June 3rd until October 27th with the Wednesday service axed. I guess the competition from Ryanair whom will also be operating the route 3x weekly this summer wont be helping the passenger loadings.

This will mean Wizz Air will be down to just 7x weekly services on its 3 routes from Leeds for Peak Summer.

That said they are clearly more committed to LBA than Wizz are so that should be embraced.
