Imo only route we’re better off without Wizz on is Wrocław, the market just wasn’t big enough for 2 airlines. I can see from the loads that recently dropped Gdansk is crying for more frequency which Ryanair just isn’t delivering

They do seem to be shifting away from the UK to Eastern Europe market unfortunately

In the article you posted earlier the arline says it blames rises in Air Passenger Duty APD as one of the factors.

Wizz Air at LBA in Summer 2026.
Despite having 27x more aircraft operating and eight new bases this summer compared to last, Wizz Air Hungary/Malta has reduced the number of flights from its European bases to all UK airports it serves (BHX, LPL, LBA, GLA and ABZ).

Wizz Air UK maintains bases at LTN (14x based aircraft this summer, +2 on 2025) and LGW (4x based aircraft this summer, -3 on 2025).

I've posted a table with all Wizz Air bases in Summer 2026 here: F4A - Wizz Air Fleet Updates

Below is a list of the destinations Wizz Air has served from LBA over the past four years:

It could be worse, Wizz Air have been savage with cuts elsewhere for the forthcoming winter season. Just take look what they have done at Birmingham & Glasgow for example.

Winter 2026-27
Warsaw
- 2x weekly (3x weekly for peak)
Bucharest -3x weekly
Cluj - 3x weekly (4x weekly peak)

Total 8x weekly (10x weekly Xmas peak)

Summer 2027
Warsaw
= 3x weekly
Bucharest = 4x weekly
Cluj - 2x weekly

Total 9x weekly

Only one that really should have been cut imo is Wroclaw - I feel all the other routes could have survived had they not pivoted their focus away from the UK market. Now we're often left with Ryanair half-heartedly increasing capacity on routes like Gdansk, which I feel could go 6X weekly or even daily if they're brave

Presumably the aircraft landed on its nose gear rather than the main gear?
Or the nose slammed down hard after the main wheels touched down.
Either way constitutes a landing that fits in the 'must improve' category. I don't think the weather could be blamed for this one, although no doubt someone, somewhere, will give it a go.

There is only one thing to blame, the thing it landed on (only joking members)🤣 my guess is a hard landing due to tricky TDZ, bounced then came down on nose wheel or both nose and main wheels at the same time?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
