Air Traffic evacuating at 1745 due alarm
Was that a fire alarm evacuation? Only last week the Birmingham mob were criticising BHX saying these kind of things only ever happen at BHX. It has been noted that similar evacuations have taken place now at Leeds and Manchester as well as Birmingham over the last few weeks. Not great but it's good to know we're not on our own!

Does Leeds have 2 departure halls? As the one I'm in seems small for an airport of Leeds size.

Are you back yet, Jerry? Weren't the last legs LBA-DUB and DUB-CWL?

I noted your favourable Ryanair comment in the LBA Ryanair thread.

The airport is closed all flights suspended due a drone being flown near perimeter of the airport
I wondered what was going on. I was walking around Swinsty Reservoir, 10 miles NW of the airport and there were a couple of Jet2 737 800s in the hold overhead the reservoir. The drone was somewhere around the Old Ball Pub at Horsforth. The Police are now investigating.

Does Ryanair, KLM, Flybe and BA all use check in hall A and Jet2 are the only ones who use hall B?

That's correct. Jet2 are the only ones to use Hall B with the exception of certain situations. For example the other year Hall B was Used by KLM, Aer Lingus & BA when the upgrades work was being carried out on Hall A baggage system.
ok thanks!

If LBA want to attract the airlines with business routes they need to sort out a proper business class lounge in my opinion. The 1432 lounge is always closed, I walked past it on Monday morning at 09:30 and as per the norm it had a barrier blocking the door. Business people travelling bus class with BA, KLM etc need and lounge away from the bucket and spade travellers and rowdy golf, hen and stag trips.....somewhere they can order a freshly cooked breakfast etc and the 1432 is perfect for that. If I had booked a long haul flight bus class from LBA I would actually complain to the airline about LBA’s lack of bus class facilities.
You can’t attract the likes of Turkish, Qatar etc if you’re not geared up with the correct infrastructure.

I dont understand why they closed the 1432 lounge, after making a right load of `feetmark`, not to mention cost, about opening it in the first place.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
