Has anyone any experience of Are Lingus's transatlantic service on their new 321 Neo's?? I'm due to be heading back from Washington in January and the choices seem to be change at either Dublin, JFK, or Heathrow to get back to either LBA or MAN. Dublin is the cheapest option by a margin. Any thoughts anyone? TIA

Flew a 321NEO a couple of weeks ago from IAD-DUB and then an Emerald AT76 on to BRS.
Aircraft was quiet, comfortable and clean. Good IFE, and I always find Aer Lingus catering excellent no matter which class you sit in - puts flying BA to shame even though EI are supposed to be the “low-cost” arm.
DUB airport was busy, and I find it quite messy layout wise, however it was a very quick and easy journey through the airport and everything ran to time.
I would prefer DUB to LHR and especially JFK any day of the week!

Any landing is a good landing in my book!

It's good to know that the flight crew were straight on the issue and the pax in the back wouldn't have had a clue what happened.

I know we’ve all been criticizing Flybe for their cancellations however I can’t help but notice Aer Lingus are starting to follow their footsteps by canceling flights recently. The outbound afternoon BHD and this evenings BHD flights have been cancelled and another was cancelled the other night. And the weathers fine so that can’t be an excuse.

That's odd because although the LBA arrivals is showing the Belfast arrival and departure this evening as cancelled, it's reported elsewhere by one if our esteemed and knowledgeable members that an Aer Lingus from Belfast is at LBA but is now broken and has been towed to a remote stand to await fixing. If true, then a supposedly cancelled flight operated inbound, but the outbound cancellation has turned out to be correct,.if for different reasons.

Meanwhile, FR24 shows this afternoon's Belfast did operate so presumably it's that one that's now broken. Clearly, Emerald are having a bad day!

Thanks for the info as EI-GPN is at LBA tech as some have said. I guess on this occasion they can be forgiven. (Also sorry to hear about your loss Heather that you mentioned on the General thread)

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
