I agree with what a couple of other posters have said wrt DXB. Admirable ambition to enter discussions regarding flights to that area of the world, but I think Turkish offer a genuine possibility to connect to their network via IST in a much more sustainable way. Also Play for KEF and onward connections to a wide range of US destinations. North America isn’t as strong a market these days as it used to be, as you can see with BHX losing all of its services over that way. Be a tough sell to anyone with MAN being fairly close.
Absolutely no doubt that Yorkshire could support those services in isolation, but it’s the impact on established routes that will be the problem IMO.
