Funny though that the 'best' airports are the two that are being bailed out by respective Governments, one to keep it open and the other to reopen it 5 years after it closed. That tells you all you need to know. The best airports are often the least attractive to airlines, therefore the quietest in terms of passenger numbers, and therefore the least stressful. In my opinion, it's how stressful an airport is that determines popularity. Long queues, expensive food, insufficient seating and overcrowding raise stress levels. Rattling around in a terminal that only has a few flights makes it easy to keep the punters happy, but rarely ends well for the airport operator.
Im just saying that the smaller 'you are' the easier it is to better than the rest.

Not always. The problem Leeds has is that the current CSZ isn’t fit for purpose in design or size. However, I find that the staff are slow with the security process compared to other smaller airports I’ve experienced, as well as sometimes unfriendly.

Although the queue is worse than it looks, the optics to a normal punter look terrible. The new CSZ can’t come soon enough!

Despite Manchester consistently being ranked as the worst airport in these surveys, it hasn't put off the millions of people who fly from there annually, nor has it affected the range of airlines available. In reality, these studies aren't worth the paper they're printed on.

Well as I said in my previous post we cant judge the airport until all the work has been completed. They are doing the best they can right now with all the wip.

No excuse for miserable staff though. Having said that I found them ok the week before last

We will have to agree to disagree on this point!

I’ve booked 4 nights in Skiathos for the end of this month. Fly out from LGW with easyJet then back into LBA with Jet2 on their first flight of the season on the 2nd May. Looking at the seat map I was the only pax, so far, on the flight. I’ve just checked again now and there is now another person checked in…into the seat right next to me 🙄 Hopefully Jet2 flight planning have just blocked out that seat.

Probably didnt want to be lonely on the flight and chat to you🤣🤣🤣

I flew out on the Lauda PMI service last night, 60 mins late. Didn’t arrive at PMI until after midnight (local).
There were only 30 pax on board. Passage through LBA was easy, very quiet. Service on board was good, although they didn't have to do much.
The weather has been glorious, sunny and warm.
Back first thing on Sat with Lauda again

Judging by my monitoring of passenger loads, I think the main cause of this was due to it being operated midweek at 20:00. Every route suffers from this, Faro, Malaga, Krakow, etc. (especially Faro). It genuinely amazes me how what time of day the flight is can affect the loads so much

The other Ryanair to Palma that day was more or less full, the easyJet was maybe 40% (that was at 20:40)

From memory I think 3 flights to PMI departed one after another on Wednesday, Easyjet, Ryanair and Lauda, not sure if that was the correct order, the Lauda was nearer 9pm and the others were between 8.15 and 8.45 I recall.

Arrived back 10 mins early this morning and the Lauda Air aircraft was practically full. Three other flights had landed just before us and it took 20 mins to clear passport control - longest I have ever been. The cabin crew had to work harder than Wed eve. I was sitting in the middle of a row. The steward served the passenger by the window, ignored me, asked the passenger on the aisle seat. Fortunately they told him that I needed serving first. Not impressed.

Last trip for a while - my passport is 10 years old on Monday - I will wait a couple of moths until after my hospital treatment and get a new one, I have a few trips in the planning stage.

Just watched this video by Eddy Explores on YouTube and laughed my socks off nearly the whole way through watching him get absolutely S*it faced on a Pre-Travel-Day drinking session in Yeadon. To be honest, Yeadon, Guiseley and Horsforth could all attract a this kind of pre-flight tourism (well not this kind literally, but you'll get what I mean)

Taking my usual trip LBA - ALC sunday 12th july FR5659, 18.15 dep out of LBA returning 21st july. Usually park at my mothers in shipley and take the A3 flyer bus to the airport, at just £2.50 its excellent value saving lotsa £, such ease and stress free using LBA!

Your flight is more or less full - approx 90%

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
