In 2012 flew BA to Dubai via Heathrow, approx. 50 passengers each way on the LBA-LHR route, this year in June will be flying BA to Hong Kong from LBA via Heathrow, looking forward to the new A380 service to Hong Kong, although I have been on Singapore A380 twice but for my daughter it will be her first A380 flight. Its so good to fly on the BA from my local airport to LHR rather than go to MAN

Just booked me and x6 other people on Jet2 LBA-ALC on Sunday 25th May to the 1st of June.
Very expensive flights I must say, however they usually are at that time of year.
We have also booked into the lounge at LBA which will be great to try.

Also as previous mentioned booked me and x5 other people on Jet2 LBA=ZTH in June.

Now have a second trip booked on the new SAS service to CPH (2 pax). Outbound is with SAS, and the return to Leeds is with BA. The outbound fare with SAS was just over £60 from LBA which is great. This compared to £66 from MAN, and over £300 from Humberside!

Also, booked a flight to Gibraltar with BA from Leeds in the autumn (Avios redemption).

BUD with BA over Easter but from LHR as no suitable LHR-LBA connection on return journey due to withdrawal of evening flight on Mondays & Tuesdays at present. Jet2 schedule did not fit with the dates I needed.
BUD again in July, this time from LBA with Jet2.
ACE in Aug (Monarch)
LBA-CPT via AMS Feb15. Fare with KLM considerably cheaper than BA though schedule less favourable, particularly return journey. In any case I would be reluctant to book BA from LBA a year in advance as I don't have confidence they will still be operating from here by then. Hope I'm wrong.

My dad flew to SOU and back with Eastern last week. The J41 was full both ways 25-26 down 29 back!! :good:

Just a side note the return fare was nearly £350!!

Booked so far in 2014

Gatwick - Marrakesh British Airways
Heathrow - Arlanda SAS
Gatwick – Malta British Airways

Still to book

Heathrow – Leeds using my Avios miles, plus many more I hope.

My only confirmed trip at the moment is to Orlando.

Flying MAN-MCO with Virgin

Possibilities are:

Budapest (Grand Prix weekend)
Paris, Barcelona, Rome or a beach chill hol but I haven't decided yet...

It's a shame the the Jet2 LBA-BUD flights don't add up for the Grand Prix as I would love to use the service. I'll have a look at KLM and BA from LBA but I'll more than likely be using FR or LS from MAN if I'm honest.

Booked LBA-LPA on 24th Mar rtn 31st with Jet2. It was Canaries or NYC but Canaries won as it was cheaper.

LBA-TFS-LBA on Jet2 with the family in early April. Have to say that these days tend to book holiday destinations based on where we can fly to from LBA. Flew from LBA 3 times last year and every time was sat at home in Harrogate within 90 mins of touching down - this includes getting through passport control, picking up hold baggage and transfer to off site car parking. Beats sitting on the M62 or M1!

Jet 2 to Malaga in July. Trying to find a cheap way to get to Munich for the beer festival in September - at the moment KLM is very expensive.

My son lives in Munich, I know you are not going to like this but the cheapest way I've found is to use Easyjet out of Manchester. Usually I can get a return flight for around £90 and cheaper if booked in advance. Oktoberfest can be a little more expensive as the flight get full if not booked early.

My dad recently used easyJet from Manchester, but to Hamburg. I think easyJet are probably the cheapest people to fly with when wanting to get to Germany. He booked well in advance (3-4 Months) and it cost him £100 return with a bag which isn't bad going!

Afternoon all. Just booked a return business trip to Dublin for 7th May with our friends at Ryanair.

Just to echo the sentiment of others here recently. EasyJet have fast become the airline of choice. I find that they are one of the cheapest and they now additionally have the accolade of being the best. I have already flown with them to Krakow this year from Gatwick. I am booked with them from Liverpool to Geneva, Geneva to Manchester and Marrakesh to Stansted this year. Now, if only LBA could get a more firm commitment from them - they would enhance LBA massively.

hi all
Doncaster to Malaga (again) fri 2 may cant get the hotel with jet2 & Thompson don't fly to agp in winter or summer.
sm 1
:whiteflag: sorry phil.

12.35 BA from LHR had around 100 pax last Thursday, and around half seemed to be picking up long haul baggage. Baggage reclaim was really busy and we had to wait around 20 minutes for ours to come through.
Trip to ORD was my 3rd long haul with BA from LBA and all have worked like a dream.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
