ok thought id have a dig through my old timetables and photos from over 20 years back! they were all hidden away at my fathers but thought id share them on here. These first pics are from euro96. I spent the whole day next to the tunnel right from when the AOL dc10 landed at around 9am through to when flights started to depart late Eve! Also witnessed the famous Concorde late touchdown, landing runway 32 he got his front wheels down just before the old runway intersection!

The handy air supply timetables I so looked forward to purchasing esp to see if they had been any new announcements! Social media and the like was not really around then so Ken and his timetables were v.useful! In the pics u can see a rather quite winter 95 and summer 95 you can see the air Transat 757 to toronto

I used to really like the Air Supply timetables. Very useful in pre internet days. I stand to be corrected on this, but I’m sure Ken once told me that they were compiled by a guy named Jonathan Hinkles, who is now the senior figure at Loganair.

Not ,masses of traffic that we see these days but the 707 was definately one worth waiting for. The 707 would really gave the swampies or extinction rebellion as they're now known something to moan about with all that soot coming out of their exhorts when they departed. Those were the days.

I remember waiting hours for Balkan929 arriving one soaking wet Saturday tea-time. I went and sheltered by Yeadon Tarn in a brick shelter. Those were the days....

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
