I have loads of pictures from Euro 96. I was 10 at the time and me and my Grandad went on a bus trip, organised by Ken? from air supply.

Ahhh I do miss that Air Supply shop. :(

My parents bought me my first radio when I was 8 from there, and I went back every Summer and Winter to collect the little Timetable books, many of them I still have!

I seem to remember his wife sadly passed away didn't she, and so he decided to call it a day... :(

I brought my Win 108 from Airsupply at least 20 years ago and it's still going strong ☺

He did. He lived in Yeadon down near the Henshaw area. Great guy.

I remember visiting a lot with my grandad and trying to get him to buy me model planes :)

Funnily enough I bumped into KC on Saturday. He has an article coming out in a well know aviation magazine over the next few months.

He is also a member of the Consultative Committee, so I am fortunate enough to be able to chat to him regularly. I still have a Wooster model of a Hispania Boeing 757 that I bought from that shop in the late 80s. I had no sooner bought the thing than Hispania went bust, so perhaps a bit of a collectors item now?

As its now almost 20 years since Euro 96, here are a selection of photos taken on the day at LBA. Hope to see more from the other members who were that that day - probably the best ever at LBA. First, Iberia Airbus A300View attachment 3170

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
