I thought Cluj was an A320 base.

Wizz Air updated LBA Summer 2025 scheduled.

Wizz Air will be operating up to 9x weekly flights from Leeds/Bradford next summer 2026 on its 3+ Eastern European routes to Bucharest, Warsaw Chopin & Cluj Napoca.

Bad News: 3x Weekly Gdansk route dropped.

Good News: Cluj Napoca sees a capacity increase with a 3rd weekly Wednesday flight added from April to June & September to October whilst the Monday & Friday flights are upgraded from Airbus A320NEO to the larger Airbus A321NEO. Also all Bucharest & Warsaw flights that have previously been operated by the older Airbus A321CEO have switched to the newer A321NEO.

And still no sign of Manchester appearing in the Wizz destination drop-down just yet which we can also take as a good sign. One caveat is though I believe this week is the key one for final slot allocations for S26 so all sorts of changes still possible I suppose

But slot allocations often bear little to relationship with reality. Airlines wishing to keep their moves secret can do so. I am sure many at MAN will be hoping Wizz go somewhere else!

I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. Well not this side of 2025. Maybe closer to 2030 they'll be a base. Ultimately I think MAG want the improvements before offering further services.

Not had a proper look yet as just finished work, but Wizz Air have today put next winter 2026/27 on sale.

Quick check on Leeds/Bradford and it shows as follows.

I remember taking the flight from Leeds International Airstrip a few years ago. Funnily enough, we touched down just 20 minutes later at Leeds International Airstrip

Appears not to have flown since. According to The Aviation Herald the pilot flying was the first officer on only his third flight as a first officer with a total of 500 hours experience.
