Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
Bear in mind that Emerald fly to numerous other airports so they will choose the aircraft that best suits their needs in terms of capacity, economy and the airports they fly into. If LBA stands out in their operations as having more weather related cancellations (and I’m not sure it does) they are hardly going to change their fleet just to accommodate the conditions at a single airport.

@Len Fish agree wholeheartedly there but the fact they are committing to higher winter frequency clearly shows they are happy with the overall LBA performance - both aircraft wise and routes wise. DUB in particular is great news because FR haven’t held back on capacity there, although appreciate EI are probably more about TATL feed. BHD is absolutely no surprise though knowing how well it performed for BE

Thought I had better post something factual in amongst all the jokes, just to appease those who appear to be devoid of a sense of humour:
EI Regional are cancelling the following LBA-BHD-LBA services:
EI3670/1 on Sundays between 08Sep and 22Sep
EI3672/3 Monday to Friday between 02Sep and 25Oct
EI3676/7 on Saturdays between 07Sep and 26Oct.
No reasons for the cancellations provided in the official communication that I have seen from a couple of weeks ago

Aer Lingus have today added a new destination in the USA to the list of routes available from LBA via DUB. Already offering the likes of New York,.Boston, Miami and San Francisco, (plus Toronto in Canada) they are now adding Nashville, Tennessee, the Music City, operating on their new A321NEO XLR. Could be quite popular for those music fans who wish to visit a city with many historical musical connections as well as a colourful history.

I’ve just got back from Music city and visit there most years…..Nashvegas is now one of the fastest growing cities in the States and partly due to the huge increase in popularity of modern country music both in the States and here it’s an extremely popular tourist destination! I can see this route proving popular given the only other direct connection is the daily LHR - BNA flight! Interesting our esteemed Mayor is currently in Nashville on a trade mission (freebie)…..https://www.thebusinessdesk.com/yorkshire/news/2129990-west-yorkshire-mayor-tracy-brabin-leads-12-business-trade-delegation-to-nashville

Great but the connection times from LBA have always been pretty longish…3.5 hours plus…

Still beats driving across to MAN then taking the shuttle down to LHR…The shortest connection on the BNA flight out of LHR I’ve had is 2 1/4 hrs add to that the drive to MAN and the fact you can clear immigration in Dublin I know which route I’ll be using….,oh and just to add on three of our four last trips via LHR to BNA at least one of our cases has failed to arrive in the same flight!

Which allows the time to clear US customs at Dublin without the risk of missing your flight. As you probably save a lot of time at the US destination (due to having already cleared customs) you get the time back and some.

A quick glance at the YEP Facebook page today about this new route shows how popular this could prove…..

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
