Speaking of Aer Lingus ATR diversion rate, this mornings DUB diverted to LPL.
Sadly, exactly the reason I won’t transit via DUB out of LBA until the route is serviced by Cat3 capable machines. Too much risk of missing your connection

Problem is on DUB we need that interline/connection all on EI so definitely needs an equipment upgrade. That said they must be happy with performance/load/yields as must the travellers themselves because if it wasn't performing well overall we wouldn't have the service. Totally agree re easyJet for BFS/BHD though as that's all P2P

An example of why until they improve their reliability at LBA I cannot use them to transit to long haul. It’s sad really as they’re one of only 2 options to transit to long haul from LBA
Must have been bad at Dublin today as several Dublin flights diverted to MAN including two Aer Lingus A321s, a Ryanair and a Luxair 737 700. The ATRs would have had no chance.

If it potentially benefits EZYs BFS ops, then I feel the positives outweigh the negatives.
I don't see it as a big negative, maybe just adapting their program. It was amazes me that BHX has x6 daily BHD flights, hopefully LBA can gain more but x4 daily on some days is still really good.

easyJet still looking strong on BFS also.

Good old Aer Lingus, in their various frames, forms and franchises have never been far away from Leeds Bradford Airport over the decades. Much the same story at Bristol. Even with their frequent operational difficulties with the ATR72, Aer Lingus have stuck with us. Perhaps they can do the Heathrow flights for us.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
