I remember the mozambique caribou and dont think it ever landed. The wind got the better of it unfortunately. No idea where it diverted to though

Oh ha ha, aren't we Mr Funny! Wasn't quite that long ago but as a guess probably around 1982 though could probably check specifically. Hey Maybe you were on the same flight as me, but I flew Yeadon-IOM in 1959 with Silver City, and yes I remember the noise, also the fact that we were unable to land back in Yeadon due to fog and so landed at Blackpool and then a bus to Yeadon. My first flight ever!
Mey Air was yet another Norwegian charter airline to grace LBA in the seventies, using 737-200s. Busy Bee also had one 732 but I don't know if it ever visited LBA.
I wonder what it was about Norway and Leeds Bradford ?
